The greatest lesson I have learned about Internet marketing is that to be successful, you need to keep things simple and just focus on marketing your business. As long as you spend tons of time on creating a powerful marketing strategy for your business, you have won half the battle. If you have a great product, you will make a ton of cash.

So how do you create a crushingly effective marketing strategy? Well, there are many ways to go about doing that. Many people have their ideas about how to market a business online. In my view, you need as many tactics in your entire strategy to get a never-ending flow of traffic to your business. Sure, you can use one tactic to build your entire business, but it's not exactly a secure route to go, is it? If that traffic technique goes bust, so does your business. Focus first on one traffic tactic and then diversify. Focus, diversify and then reap the rewards.

What is the first tactic that I would recommend that a new marketer start with? I think article marketing is a good one to start with. There are just so many advantages with article marketing that it boggles my mind why so many people are not using it effectively. There are basically two problems with article marketers – they either write too little articles or/and they write poor articles. But the first problem is more prevalent. If you want to get consistent traffic from articles, you need to consistently pump out new articles until you have enough out there to call your system an autopilot machine.

The other tactic you need to seriously consider is pay per click advertising. I know people are afraid to pay for every click they receive on their ad, but frankly I know of no better marketing innovation than the Google Adwords model in the last few decades. This is a great way to get targeted traffic to your website by targeting the precise keywords your target market is using. You need to get into pay per click advertising and make it a key part of your strategy for getting sales. Yes, it does take some time to master this model, but the dividends are amazing.
