For getting free traffic, article marketing works like crazy for me. Other traffic generation strategies that work a treat for me are pay per click advertising, co-registration and joint ventures. But how would you know which traffic generation strategy would work best for you?

I think you would know the answer: testing and tracking! It's very important to track what's working and what's not so you eliminate the poor sources and just expand on the ones that are working. That's why article marketing is now one of my key strategies.

How did I find out that article marketing is one powerful method for getting free visitors? It's pretty simple now that I think of it; I simply went out and did a few marketing methods that were popular - like ezine advertising, AdWords and of course article marketing. And I found that many advertising sources don't perform well; it's the few that work that you should concentrate your time and effort on.

So I found out that articles generated a very high volume of traffic. And the traffic converted excellently as well! I found that a large number of people who were coming into my newsletter and buying my products were people who came in from the articles I wrote. So from that point on, once I realized this method was performing something worthy, I just concentrated my time and even money on getting articles out there. I hired people to submit my articles for me, and even got freelance writers to write articles for my other niches that I work in. The result is a never-ending stream of traffic that just grows and grows!
