A product funnel is one of the key factors of my Internet success. First off, what is a product funnel? It involves your prospect starting at the top of the funnel, usually by signing up for a free gift or buying a low-ticket product, before moving towards higher-cost products that you provide.

Typically, you will want to create a free gift such as a free report to give away to prospects. This is the best way to build a list of qualified subscribers who are interested in your topic. A free report can be a collection of tips, a step-by-step system on how to achieve something or even an interview in PDF format.

Then, offer a low-ticket product, This can be an ebook in the $10 - $50 range. You want to offer something that is not too risky cost wise for your subscribers, so they can have a taste your material first before spending more money with you. Usually, about 5% to 10% of your subscribers who subscribed for your free gift will end up buying your low-cost product if you repeatedly follow up with them through carefully crafted emails.

The next step is to offer a high-cost product. I usually like to create a home study course or membership site to offer to my subscribers and buyers. 20% to 30% of the buyers who bought your earlier product will want to get more advanced information and your high-cost product can provide that. If you want to go a step further, you can offer a coaching program to buyers of your high-cost product. This is where the big money truly is.
