My best advice for list building is to think in terms of being an expert. You have to believe you are an expert in your subject (and you do have to be one) and you have to convey that to your subscribers through your emails and the information you provide. Building a list can be very lucrative if you do it right.

Here are 4 more advanced list building tips to turbo charge your email marketing system:

1. Send more free gifts (like informative free reports and videos) to your subscribers. Don't just send outdated products; send the latest cutting edge information and you will develop a hyper responsive list that opens every email you send out.

2. Send a survey to your subscribers. This is a great way to build trust and cultivate responsiveness. Ask your subscribers what their most challenging problems are, then create products to solve those problems.

3. Have an end goal in mind – create a sales funnel for your email marketing business. This usually begins with a low-cost product (for example, a $20 ebook) before progressing to products like a home study course and a coaching program. Build a customers list from your low-cost product and promote your advanced high-ticket products to them. This will ensure a stream of repeat customers.

4. Answer emails from your subscribers. If they have problems or questions, help them out and give them advice. Many newsletter publishers don't do this; if you reply to your subscribers' emails, you will stand out from the pack and build a highly responsive list.
