If I had to narrow down my traffic generation success to one thing, it is article marketing. Sure, I use other methods like ezine advertising and pay per click advertising as well these days, but it's article marketing that is still one of the best free traffic generation methods around. And it was the method that got me started getting dozens and eventually hundreds of visitors per day.

If you're reading this, you are probably struggling with either article marketing or traffic generation. That is fine. What I'm about to show you will change the way you think about article promotion.

You see, I believe in the 80/20 rule, and that is 20% of your efforts will create 80% of your results. Well, in the case of article directories, that ratio is more like 95/5. Ezine Articles, out of all the directories out there, will bring you 95% of the traffic, so my suggestion is to concentrate on just one directory.

So forget about article submitters if you want just direct traffic from your articles. Sure, if you want to build links, then submit to other directories as well, but for pure traffic generation, nothing beats Ezine Articles.

Another thing I want to run by you is that quantity rules the roost although quality is important. I would have 1000 good articles any day over 10 great articles that took an hour each to write. I know which group would bring me predictable traffic for the long haul, simply because of the sheer number of articles out there driving traffic. So forget about the quality versus quantity argument and just do both while you're at it, to drive maximum traffic to your sites.
