There are tons of ways to drive traffic out there, but truth be told, only a few of the methods are worth a mention, let alone worth using. The end goal is to get traffic that converts into sales. Tons of traffic that doesn't equate to sales is pretty much a waste of time and money.

Here are some effective ways to drive traffic to your page:

1. Article marketing. Publish short, information-filled articles and publish them on sites like EzineArticles and other popular article directories on the Internet. I have over 3000 articles in circulation, and they drive traffic to my site everyday, so they do work.

2. Google AdWords. This is simply the fastest way to get traffic to your website. But there is a steep learning curve and it is very easy to lose money with the wrong keywords and tactics. Equip yourself with the right information first before venturing into this advertising method.

3. Joint ventures. When you are starting out, it is very hard to get joint venture deals with other marketers since you have no assets (products, mailing lists etc). Joint ventures are a super fast way to get tons of overnight traffic, and I'm a witness to it. However, ultimately, in your business, you don't want to depend on your competitors to build your business in the long-term. Build systems that don't require joint ventures!

So what's my take on the best traffic method for a beginner? For me, it's article marketing. It's free, and it's relatively easy to do. The biggest advantage - the traffic is among the most targeted you can get online!
