Tip Before Hiring a Social Media Management Company, Read This

This may come as quite a shocker to most, but there are very good reasons why you don't want to ever hire a social media management company. In this article, I'm going to reveal a few important points that will open your eyes so you can see the whole picture to make the best decision for your business.

The first reason why you should NEVER hire a social media management company is the fact that 97% of these companies have never built a successful brick-and-mortar or online business. They make their money by consulting, that's it! Why is this a problem? Well, how could they possibly help you aggressively achieve your goals if they don't have experience.

When you contract them, you basically hire an employee. Truth be told, employees are good at taking orders. They're not entrepreneurs that have a strong vision for growth. That's just the fact.

Don't bring-on someone that doesn't have the experience you need.

The next reason why you don't want to hire a social media management company is that you'll pay too much. Of course, there is a time and a place to pay a premium, but this is not one of them especially if you're a small business.

If you choose to hire a good social media marketer, expect to shell-out 70K per year and above. This is what brands all over a paying. However, that is not going to be realistic for a small business owner. Not only that, but social media is just one piece of the puzzle.

You'd ideally want your social media management company to be able to also do things like market research, keyword investigation, Facebook marketing, Facebook ppc advertising, Google Places, YouTube marketing, Article marketing, Press release marketing, forum marketing, Twitter marketing, blogging, Google Adwords, etc...

This is very hard to find.

The last reason why it's not a good idea to hire a social media management company is that there's really not time in the day for one or two people to do everything that needs to be done online. You can check out all of the strategies listed above. It's a lot of work and you actually need a TEAM of experts to handle it.

The bottom line is that if you're looking to aggressively grow your business using the internet or social media, a simple "manager" or management company is not going to get you where you want to be. They know how to manage, not build for long-term growth.
