How did I go from online no-hoper to 5-figure earner? Well, the first product I sold online was a time management ebook. This was several years ago and I made a few sales off it - I was so excited! I began to see that there was money to be made online and I realized that thousands of people are making a living on the Internet selling stuff.

And what most excited me was how wide and deep the Internet is. The Internet operates round the clock, and you can sell to a worldwide audience. This is a dream scenario for any aspiring profiteer who wants to quit their day job and live a life of unbounded freedom.

But the first few months for me were difficult. I earned an average of a few hundred dollars in those first few months, selling affiliate products from Clickbank. I then realized the value of building your own list.

Some people say list building doesn't work anymore as there are so many marketers building lists and people's inboxes were getting crowded. Well, that's what people say about the Internet too; that there are millions of websites and it is very very hard to make money online. What a load of nonsense! Most of these websites and most people who build lists don't make big money! Because they don't go all the way, they are not fully committed, so they don't get all the rewards.

So that's the biggest lesson to take away. Go all the way. I did that. I went out and build a squeeze page using proven principles, and then I drove traffic to it. I marketed it like crazy and that's why now I get over 500 visitors per day to my site on autopilot. You've got to make the commitment and you've got to go all the way; there is just no other way to reach 5 figures or more.
