The answer to whether you should sell high-ticket products or low-ticket products is quite simple: sell both. The reason is because you want to build a deep sales funnel that progresses your customers through firstly, low-ticket products and then up to more progressive, expensive products.

What you don't want to do is sell only low-cost products or only high-ticket products. This will typically result in lower profits. Sure, selling low-end products like seven dollar ebooks or ten dollar ebooks will result in higher conversion rates. You will get more people to buy. But if you have a specific goal of say $10,000 per month online, it will be very hard to reach that goal by just selling $10 products. Similarly, it's very hard to convert visitors if you only sell expensive products without first gaining their trust and confidence by giving them access to your lower-cost items.

With lower-cost products, although you will sell more, what you will find is that you will hit a ceiling or barrier. It's very very hard to sell hundreds of copies of a $10 product to reach $10,000 per month. But if you create a sales funnel and add in some $200 or $500 products down the line, you will reach your goal much more easily.

Another important thing to take note of is that sometimes, a $50 product will convert the same as a $10 product. So by just increasing your price, your profits actually increase. The idea is to give your $50 product by perceived value by stating more benefits and including more valuable bonuses.
