Banner Advertising Secrets - How to Use the Potency of Banner Ads to Generate a Rush of Traffic

Banner advertising is one of the tactics I use to generate traffic from my squeeze pages. And it is very easy to implement if you use the right sources. In fact, my first banner advertising campaign took me no more than 30 minutes to set up.

Here is the system I carried out to generate targeted traffic on the cheap:

This 4-step system has worked wonders for me and generates an insane return on investment, as well as pumping dozens of leads into my marketing funnel daily.

Let's go into the details of the system (you'll be amazed at how easy it is!):

Step 1 - Create Banner Ad

The first step is to design a skyscraper banner that will grab attention and get the click throughs. I hire a web designer to do this for me. If you want to do it yourself but don't know how to create the fancy graphics, you can always create a simple text banner, complete with headline, body and call-to-action. Tip: Yellow text banners have worked very well for me!

Step 2 - Sign Up For Ad Network

The ad network I use is AdBrite. I have heard good things about Bidvertiser but I have yet to test them. AdBrite is probably the biggest out there and it is often seen as an alternative to Google Adwords. In some ways, it is better than Adwords. Sign up for AdBrite and get ready to post your ads.

Step 3 - Post Your Ads

AdBrite allows you to post three types of ads: text ads, banner ads and full-page ads. Full-page ads are least effective, so don't use them because they involve 'interruption marketing'. Visitors basically see this full-page ad whenever they want to enter a website, most people will just click 'Continue'. Text ads are like Google's pay per click ads. However, banner ads will give you the best returns. Upload a skyscraper banner ad and choose a bidding price.

Step 4 - Track And Test Your Ads

Track your ads and see how well they are performing. Track your return on investment and other important metrics like cost per lead and cost per click from your ads. Increase or decrease your bids as you see fit. For text ads, split-test different ad copy against one another.
