Step 1 - Decide on the niche you want to operate in. Sure, you can operate in different niches, that's if you're in Adsense. But if you want to make it big in Internet marketing and information marketing, you need to focus on one niche and become recognized as an expert in that niche. I will show you how to do this later.

Step 2 - Build your web site. This will be your main web site, the 'entry point' for customers of your business. Preferably, use a squeeze page to capture subscribers. Get an autoresponder like Aweber, and start building a mailing list.

Step 3 - Promote your website. Create a plan for marketing your business and follow through with it every day. For example, I ensure I am always doing something to enhance my 'deal flow' - whether it's writing articles, creating a new offer, or stimulating joint ventures. Article marketing and joint ventures are my most productive traffic sources, by the way.

Step 4 - Build a relationship with your list. Send them free gifts such as free reports and ask them what their biggest questions are. Direct them to helpful articles that will help them.

Step 5 - Track and test everything from ad copy to traffic generation sources. Track your conversion rates, your opt-in rates, where your traffic is coming from, and how much each lead is worth to you.
