It is a common belief among many marketers that writing an ebook is a difficult task. It is highly advisable to just get it done; to start writing a small report of 10 to 15 pages to get the hang of the process before writing a longer 50-100 page manifesto.

Of course, if you are creating content about a subject you are well versed in, it would be easier to complete your ebook. It will be easier because you don't need to read up extensively on the topic and spend weeks in research mode. You can get started writing almost immediately. You can launch your ebook faster.

The length of your ebook matters. If you are writing 100 pages, it will obviously take a lot longer than if you are writing, say 30 pages. So the length is important.

However, content has to be more important than quantity. If you are giving away your ebook, you want it to contain a few powerful nuggets that you readers can take away with; it will leave them with a good impression of your business.

And if you are selling your ebook, all the more it should contain tons of powerful content, so that you will have repeat customers in the future. It is far easier to sell to a repeat customer than it is to go and get new customers for your business. Experts say it's about 10 times easier because these people have bought from you before, and if the like the experience, they will buy from you again.
