Be honest to yourself: does product creation sound like a chore to you? If it is, you are not alone. Many people find creating products to be very difficult. But it doesn't have to be. It can be easy if you just follow a few proven steps. Everything, when boiled down to a doable, actionable system, becomes simpler to carry out.

So the first step you need to do is to decide exactly what you want to create. Which target market will you be aiming for? Who are your potential customers? Create a profile of these people. What problems do they face? What information do they really want? You can get information like this at forums easily!

Next, you need to decide what medium your product is going to be in. Is it going to be a simple ebook? A series of video tutorials? A home study course? A free report you are going to give away to build a list? Decide on what you want to create for your business.

The third step is to create an outline of your product. What I do for ebooks is to create a contents page and basically utilize that as my outline. I kill two birds with one stone - I get the contents page done and I can use it as a guideline to create my product around. You can use this same approach when creating audio or video tutorials.

Then create sub-topics under each of the topics. Start writing content for these sub-topics. If you have a few pages of content for each sub-topic, that will amount to a lot of pages. It is how you can create a product easily just by conquering one sub-topic one at a time.
