You may implement paid advertising methods like Google Adwords pay per click but your ads will also lead people to your landing page. Thus, the landing page is the crucial element in making people be motivated and interested and make them do the positive actions, like converting to sales. The landing page, being the most critical element, have to be optimized well and SEO methods have to be implemented to make this more credible and trustworthy to prospective customers.
