Step 1 - Create A Website

A website is relatively cheap to start up these days. You need a domain name and a web host. A domain name should cost you less than 10 dollars these days. Places like Namecheap are good for these. You can host web space for less than 10 dollars a month too. So overall so far, your starting costs are less than $20. For web design, you can go from free templates you pick up from a Google search.

Step 2 - Build A List With An Autoresponder

You also need an autoresponder to build a list. You can go with your own hosted solution, but it's not recommended these days when service providers like Aweber are available who will host your list for you and do all the hard work in maintaining their servers. You can get an autoresponder for about $20 a month.

Step 3 - Generate Free Traffic

Start off by generating free traffic to your website. Free traffic generation methods that work include: article marketing, forum posting, classified ads and blogging. Those 4 methods are enough to keep you busy for some time and flood your website with hungry visitors. Your total cost in running this business: $40 or less a month.
