Let me tell you little story about how I got started in generated serious traffic online. In my first few months online, I tested every traffic generation source out there like any 'greenhorn' beginner would. I'm serious. I tried everything from pay per click traffic, traffic exchanges, pop-ups, guaranteed traffic, list buying and everything else in between. While some of these methods can generate some results, what I found to be the most profitable and most responsive kind of visitors came from article marketing.

How do I know this? Well, I track all my traffic and when I looked at my traffic stats in my tracking service account, I noticed that the bulk of my traffic came from article marketing, even though I was barely spending any time on it! I just wrote a few articles and submitted them and that was it.

That was when I realized that if I simply scaled up my article submission, I would simply get more traffic. It was a simple equation. So I started submitting 4 articles a day. Why 4? Well it's not too difficult and it is less imposing than 5, I suppose. 4 sounds like an average number, 5 begins to sound like a lot in terms of articles. That was my perception anyway.

So everyday, like clockwork, I cranked out 4 articles. Then I thought, what if I doubled my submissions again? Would that double my traffic? So I started writing 8 articles per day without fail. And the result is I get more traffic, leads and profits.

As you can see, it's all about simple numbers and putting in the work to get traffic. I now use pay per click advertising as another serious traffic generator, but when it comes to targeted traffic, article marketing is up there with the best!
