If you are considering joint ventures to build a list, then you are on the right track. You can build a huge list from joint ventures, but there is only one caveat, you need to have a small list to start off with. Then you can use this 'seed list' to create profitable list building partnerships at will.

Here is how it works: I contact people who have mailing lists to do a swap where I email my list with their squeeze page offer, and they will do the same for me. The result is I get some of their subscribers and they will get some of my mine. You see, for any mailing list that exists, there is a small proportion that is responsive than others. When you do list swaps like these, you are getting the most responsive subscribers, people who actually open up emails and respond. When you build a list like this, you can have explosively profitable results.

So what I do is I write a short joint venture approach email that gets straight to the point and tells them what I want to do (do a list swap), my list size and basically what they stand to gain out of it. I'm not going to write a long email because people's time is precious and they are not going to read a long email. I just want to spark their interest and get them to reply and say something like 'Yes, I'm interested'.

I have my own email that I use. It's a simple little email that I crafted in less than 2 minutes that has been the trigger for thousands of subscribers to my list and tens of thousands of dollars to my bottom line. It's an email that has allowed me to work with some of the top Internet marketers in the business, because basically what is happening here is a powerful win-win deal.
