I'd advise writing your own sales copy early on in the game. This will save you countless of dollars when you develop your future products.

You can outsource your marketing and your customer support, but copywriting is something you'd want to do yourself. It lends your own personality to your products. And no one knows your product better than you.

The only exception is if you are doing a big scale launch with lots of JV partners. Then you'd definitely want to hire a professional copywriter. You don't want to turn your launch into a testing ground for your copywriting. For a big launch, you'd want to be sure that you have copy that works in getting those sales.

But in the long haul, you'd definitely want to learn how to write your own sales pages. Learn how to test them and how to make them convert. Get a copy of Power Split Tester and split-test headlines, prices, and everything else in between.

Test your sales copy by sending a promotion out to your mailing list if you have one, or use pay per click traffic or article marketing traffic to see what conversion rates your sales letters are pulling Use the split-tester to determine which version is getting better results for you, then simply create another version of your sales page to split-test against the winner. If you keep on doing this, your sales letter will gradually improve to become a powerhouse of a sales machine.
