Go to Technorati to find out which are the most visited blogs in your market. Take a look at the comments received on a blog as a gauge to see how the popular a blog is.

4. Find Out The Most Successful Affiliate Programs

Go to Clickbank and Commission Junction to see which are the most high producing affiliate programs in terms of sales.

5. See Who Is Getting The Bulk Of The Traffic

Use Alexa to see which websites in your market are getting the majority of the traffic. Then analyze how they get most of their traffic.

6. Sign Up For Mailing Lists

Whenever you spot a mailing list in your market, sign up for it. It allows you to keep in touch with your industry and also to easily gain new ideas for your own marketing campaigns and email promotions.
