Just how do you build a list to 10,000 subscribers and beyond?

Step 1 - Create A Compelling Opt-In Incentive

The first step is to create your own free product to give away. There are many ways to do this effectively - use giveaway rights products (ebooks, software), outsource the creation of a short report or write a short report yourself.

Step 2 - Write Up A Squeeze Page

A squeeze page is just like the page in my resource box below. It is a simple, catchy web page with an opt-in form. I'm using the page in my box to get subscribers to my newsletter.

Step 3 - Flood The Web With Quality Articles

Write or outsource quality information-rich articles and submit them to highly populated article directories. One of them is of course Ezine Articles. Submit articles regularly to get a steady flow of traffic and to increase your business numbers (traffic, opt-ins, sales etc) as time goes on.

Step 4 - Do Joint Venture List Swaps

Contact other newsletter marketers in your market with a view to do a list swap. This is a potentially very profitable arrangement: you promote their squeeze page to your list, and they will do the same. They will promote your squeeze page to their list. This is one of the surest ways to get an absolute flood of instant traffic to your subscription page.
