Google AdWords Keyword Suggestion Tool is definitely the best tool out there at the moment. And best of all, it doesn't cost a nickel to use it. It will give you estimates of advertiser competition on Adwords and numbers on how many searches a keyword is getting per month. Very valuable information.

Step 3 - Use Wordtracker

Wordtracker is one of the top keyword tools out there at the moment, so this is something you might want to think of signing up with. There is a subscription fee, but there is a free option too that you can use to play around with.

Step 4 - Use Compete dot com

Compete.com allows you to actually see what keywords are driving traffic to your competitor's site. You can then grab the same keywords and use them for your Adwords campaigns or create search engine optimized pages around them. Definitely very cool stuff!

Step 5 - Spy On Meta Tags

See the meta tag keywords of your competitors by looking at the Page Source of their web page. This will allow you to see what keywords your competition is targeting, and you can potentially add them to your keywords list.
