Getting Backlinks To Your Site
I recently posted a NEW Article on "How To Get Backlinks To Your Site"
In that article I give a comprehensive whitehat backlinking plan for getting a ton of backlinks to your site. It deals more with using free tools that automate the process for you.
So I wanted to expand on some of the things talked about in that article. So read it first
When you go about getting backlinks to your site, you need to keep in mind that there are several places you want to focus on. And I will say up front that you want to focus on getting high quality links and build authority to those links.
I have written and done enough on .gov and .edu links, I even wrote an article on How To Get .Gov and .EDU links yourself
So you defiantly want to be focusing on those links.
But you also want to focus on other places that you can obtain High PR links. People talk all the time about getting backlinks to your site from high PR sites, but no one ever spells out exactly what those high PR sites are.
When you look at link building services that say they have a ton of high PR links...they are usually promoting forum backlinks. They do this for several reasons!
The downside to this is that you will only get about 9% of your links to stick after 50 days. You can increase this number with paid indexers and some work, but you will never really see over 30% stick rate with forums.
Thats why I have shifted my focus to WEB 2.0 sites. These carry high PR rankings and you can build up your own backlinking networks over time, even getting higher and higher PR from your own network. You also start controlling the process of getting backlinks to your site.
There are three types of backlinking networks that I build and I submit to these all the time without ever spamming them. I only use them for my own sites.
First is my RSS Feeds
Now in the post mentioned above I walk you step by step through this process, but wanted to mention it here as well, just so that you know it is a network that you can use.
The free accounts you will want to set up are Onlywire, hello txt, pixelpipe, ping.fm.
In this article I show you how to connect all those things together.
Second Is Social Bookmarking Sites
These are great networks to use. I have several social bookmarking sites set up that are gaining authority because I send through great content and I dont spam them. What I would suggest is that you set up at least one of these networks.
The best thing to do is get a tool that automates this process for you. One of the most trusted and effective tools on the market is bookmarking demon I say this for a couple of reasons, not only can you submit all your new material, but go back and submit all your other material.
If you have a good linking structure set up in your posts, articles, and sites, then you you will be building a crazy strong backlinking structure. Just by naturally creating strong content that is optimized well.

The Third Is Blogging Networks
The last thing I do is build blogging networks around my mega-sites. Not mini-sites.
I have several of these sites set up where I post to every day. Now I only use orginal articles on these sites as well, so that I can build authority.
What this does is build up my links to my links, giving authority not only to my links but to my backlinks. Here is an article on "Building Backlinks To Your Backlinks."
