3 Lies About Making Money Online

I could probably make a list of 26 lies about making money online, but I decided to keep it short.

Lie One: This Product Will Make $5000 With Little To No Work

For starters if I had a product that was making me $5000 with little to no work I would not be selling it to you. Or if I was selling it to you, I would be selling it for way more than $7.

If making money online was easy, everyone would be rich.

Lie Two: This Is The Only Product You Will Ever Need

This one drives me crazy all the time. I see people promoting their facebook page business, or their one plugin that makes you a killing, or this product or that product.

What your really buying is a part or a piece of the whole. You are not buying a business in a box but just a portion of a business. Their are other pieces to that puzzle.

I am getting ready to write a pretty comprehensive post on my blog on the process or steps that people who truly make massive amount of money online follow.

Just to simplify it goes like this. And this called the process of conversion...

• A stranger has to convert into a lead by being exposed to your message for the first time (in the online world, we call this traffic)
• A lead has to convert into a prospect by liking what you have to say (this is often done by opting in to your email subscriber list)
• A prospect has to convert into a customer by buying something from you
• A customer has to convert into a repeat customer by turning a single purchase into an ongoing buying relationship

There is more to this but if you look at those who have a legitimate online business, it is the same model they all promote.

Lie Three: It Takes Years To Make Money Online

I was reading one of the better blogs today and they had a discussion going on in the comment section about how it takes years to make money online. As people chimed in and agreed with that comment it got me to wondering.

What Business Model Are You Using?

I will agree that you will never make money online if you jump from business model to business model, but honestly...if it takes years for anyone to make money in any industry, you should be in another industry.

You would never work at any job for zero pay, I mean the idea of marketing is selling something? And the idea of marketing is making money.

Now it might take a little while to be making six figures or hit a home run, but you should be making money along the way. Even if it is a little bit of money.
