Competition is a myth. Any niche that is profitable online will be highly competitive. 99% of niches that don't have competition is likely to be unprofitable or filled with freebie seekers.

In any AdWords niche that is profitable these days, you will find that you will be paying escalating costs. The secret is in out-marketing your competition, increasing your profits per sale (for example, promoting membership sites that automatically rebill customers or creating your own), or going for alternative advertising avenues (like AdWords Placement Targeting)

In any case, if a niche is 'competitive', it is highly likely that the niche will be profitable for you. All you've got to is follow the system that other marketers in that niche have used with success. Study their systems and dissect it. See what they are doing often and duplicate their efforts without copying their materials. If you follow this method, you are almost guaranteed to find success.

Think about it, everyday more and more people are getting online. You'll never run out of customers if your marketing is spot-on.

If there are 3 dental clinics in a small neighborhood, it is unlikely you will build a successful business with a dental clinic in that neighborhood.

But the Internet is not a small neighborhood.

One more plus point of competitive niches is that there are potential joint venture partners who can join your affiliate program and promote your product for you. This will increase your marketing reach tremendously.
