| How To Write Ad Copy That Sells Everytime Have you ever wrote ad copy that never converted? Have you ever tried to get someone to respond to ad copy only to have no luck? When it comes to writing copy there are some things you need to focus on. Coppy Blogger recently wrote this… • Know your audience • Know your product cold • Research • Nail the headline • Write plainly, in the language of your audience • Research more • Write fascinating bullets • Craft a great offer • Include a strong call to action Now I won’t break all of this down, but I think it goes without saying, that we can't just throw something up on the internet and expect hordes of people to flock around our mad writing skills and open their wallet only to shower us with gold. Shoot, I give away tons of free tools, tips, and tricks for best ways to make extra money, and I can’t even give away amazing tools. Some of these tools cost me good money. So, you have to put some thought and effort into how you write ad copy and products you produce and give away. How to write ad copy that sells everytime Know Your Audience You have to know your audience! For me this is a little bit easier because my audience is me. When I sit down to write copy, the person I have in mind is myself. If I could be cloned, and placed at the other end of my desk, and I just look at myself as I write copy, that is who I write too. Because I know the struggles I have with making money online. I know what works for me and what doesn't. I know how many rabbit trails I have followed. I know how disorganized I can be. I know all those things. So thats what I talk about while I help others make money online. But who is your audience? Who is that you see in your mind when you are writing your ad copy? Who is looking for your product. Who is going to read what you write? When you set out to write ad copy make sure you know your audience Know Your Product Cold Most of the products I talk about, create, sell or give away…are usually products I have purchased and used. And Use all the time. But if you are an affiliate marketer or working with clients, then you should spend some time getting to know your product. Yes even purchase the product and use it. I had an idea of creating video reviews...(novel idea I know)...and I was going to outsource the making of the videos, even though I make all my own videos. But when the outsource person asked me for a script. I said heck, I own the product, know the product, and use the product, I'll just shoot my own dang video. WHY! Because I know the products. But you don't have to own them, you just have to know them. You set out to write ad copy make sure you know your product cold Nail The Headline I am not sure this can be over hyped. If your headline is wrong, people will not read your first, second, or third sentence. Much less buy the product you are trying to sell. Matter of fact this one topic is probably a whole new post. But this is so important. If you are online you have an advantage that print media does not have, because you can research and find what headlines work and what don’t. In print media if they mess it up, then you just spent a lot of money on a mistake. Lately some of my greatest headlines have come in the form of storytelling. For instance I have an article titled, High School Drop Out Makes More Than College Graduate When You set out to write your ad copy make sure you nail the headline Know What You Want To Accomplish Creating a persuasive ad copy is all about knowing what you want from your target audience. There are many factors that actually make your advertising message effective and help you get a better return on your investment. But before you actually get into injecting persuasion into your ad copywriting, you should understand what persuasion is all about. If you're thinking creating a persuasive ad copy is about pushing your prospect or forcing him/her to take action, then you're wrong - it's much more than that. It's better to think of each piece of ad copy as a personal salesperson who is getting you the sale by persuading your prospects to take action. Show Proof Of Your Product One fantastic method for creating a better sense of persuasion in your ad copy is to include proof or testimonies about your products. This is a fantastic method for convincing prospects to buy from you because it illustrates how well your product has worked. This proof could be about durability, quality, safety, etc. Basically anything that you feel would make a convincing impact on your readers should be included in your ad copy. Proof brings credibly. Reviews and testimonies can be very persuasive. Always Push Towards A Call Of Action Always emphasize your call to action and tell your readers exactly what they need to have to act right now--that is the only way that you can get them to actually act. Don't allow yourself to think that you will be pushing your prospects too far or that you will make them leave if you ask them to take action in the beginning, it is your job to infuse as much persuasion into your writing as possible and that includes an irresistible call to action. Keep The Main Thing “The Main Thing” When I use to write speeches, I always started with the main point. Everything else that comes after that is to support that one main thing. Every bullet point was to support that main point. We would write 20 minute speeches to communicate one main thing. Until you find a way to properly and persuasively communicate with your prospect in every way possible, you won't have much of a response rate. Use the Correct Language Creating persuasive copy is all about using the correct words. You need to inject power words into the copy that you write so that your readers and prospects will have positive feelings about your offers. The choice of words you use is very important in how your ad copy is going to shape up. There are so many times when a prospect is just going to wind up feeling confused because your word choices were not at all persuasive. The world is incredibly competitive and to truly get people to notice you, your copy needs to be as strong as it can be. Every line that you write needs to compel someone to read the next line. The main purpose of this one line right here...is to convince you to read the next line and so on. Your headline is to get someone to read the first line. And so on and so on. It doesn't matter if your ad copy is long or short, if done right, then people will follow your story and main point. These tips are just the beginning if you want to write really persuasive advertising copy. There's a lot more that you will get to learn as you move forward and get better at persuading through words. Injecting persuasion into your ad copy goes beyond just creating the right headline and using the right words, you need to give an overall makeover to your ad and give your best shot at convince your prospect to take the needed action.
