Tactic #1 - Funnel Traffic To An Opt-In Page To Build A List

The number one tactic, by far, with article marketing, is to build a mailing list with it. A mailing list should be your number one business asset. Ask any marketing 'guru' on the Internet, and he will say his mailing list is the biggest asset in his or her business. So get cracking; create a simple opt-in page and funnel your article traffic to it.

Tactic #2 - Use Two Links In The Resource Box

There are two links you would generally want to add in your resource box - a plain hyperlink and an anchor text link. In this way, your article's resource box will show your URL even if an ezine publisher grabs your article and leaves out the html code. Plus, having two links gives you two chances to get the click through instead of one!

Tactic #3 - Write Article Titles That Blow The Competition Out Of The Water

The two keys with titles are optimizing them with your chosen keyword phrases and including a compelling benefit (or two). This combination will get you the most direct traffic and make it more likely that your article will be found on the search engines or in the article directories.
