Searching for exact match domains can be frustrating for many people. You could go for an hour and not even find one? Here are some tips to help you that I have learned from experience.

Write Down Keywords That Pop Out Of Your Head

You could be out and about, in a store and seeing products in front of you. You might be at home and looking around the kitchen. Or you could simply be looking on product sites or looking for keywords anyway.

Whatever it is, sometimes you get a great seed keyword. Let me give you an example, the seed keyword "white". Do you know how many things are white in color? Especially when it comes to household fixtures and fittings, people often look for white colored goods because it makes them easier to clean. Hence there are many EMDs out there with this prefix.

Change Your Tactics Often

Often when looking for EMDs, you will think of trying a new angle. Instead of putting that idea on ice as something to do later, go with it. It could yield you many new EMDs very quickly. I do this all the time. The less routine you are in the way that you search, the better.

Product Sites

There are many product sites out there to give you ideas. All you need is a keyword to make you think "hmm...I wonder if there are many EMDs with this keyword in them".

If you use the domain checker at your registrar e.g. Namecheap, then eventually it will stop you checking and in the worst case scenario, your IP could be blacklisted. Better to use a 3rd party checking tool which will be much faster anyway.

Consider The Cost Of Your Time

Something you need to consider is the cost of your time. For example, if you calculate that your time is worth $30 an hour but you can only find two decent keywords in that time then this means that you could outsource your keyword research, so long as you don't pay any more than $15 per keyword.
