Facebook is a very popular social networking site which many web marketers use to improve their web marketing campaign. Because of the many active users on Facebook, in fact hundreds of millions of them, you can have all the good opportunities to make people see what you offer.

While Facebook is a great way to share and spread your marketing capabilities around the globe (through this social network) you should not do these strategies in an appropriate way. Spreading your information to your friends and fans should be done such that it will not look like spam.

Your strategies should be done such that it will look sensible and appropriate in every aspect it is done, and it will not look like spam. Awareness programs regarding your product should be created such that it will be projected as quality contents, and not irregular.

The contents you presented contains photos, videos or graphic illustrating, but these should be presented as quality in everything done. The following are some "don'ts" that should not be done when you post or share anything in your Facebook page.
  • Don't post advertisements looking like updates in your Facebook page. Doing these things will upset your friends and fans and they may quickly "unfriend" you because you continuously make advertising updates, which are not appropriate in a social site.
  • Do not use rude language in your updates or whatever you share. Commenting negatively on other user's pages or walls may make your fans upset and they may start to "unfriend" you.
  • Do not get into a political conversation in your fan page. As much as possible do not engage in political postings in your updates or you may get some criticisms from your fans who merely want some social updating done.

As much as there are don'ts that do not have to be done, there are also the do's that have to be implemented. These are the positive things that have to be done right in your postings and updates.
  • Bring value to the updates you posted and shared in your Facebook page and you will notice that this will bring positive results in the things that you do on your page. People on Facebook are there for socialization purposes and what they expect are updates with no promotional tones included.
  • Make your updates and comments appropriate with no political understones. By making your postings positive only and with nothing politically inclined, you will expect better results.
  • Post happy and positive quotes in your walls, and it may bring only the positive things in your efforts. With these things included in your updates and postings, your fans may like it and will actively engage with you, and this will be positive for your marketing efforts.
