Write short, content-packed articles and submit them to an article directory such as Ezine Articles. Hundreds of marketers use article marketing as their main traffic source, and it works like gangbusters! Article marketing is probably the most effective free traffic source out there.

2. Forum Marketing

Post in forums in your niche market. Create a signature file with a link back to your website. Post interesting topics and intelligent replies to threads and you will be funneling traffic to your website like nobody's business! The thing with forum marketing is that you have to do it consistently. Post to 3 to 5 forums in your niche market every day and dedicate at least half an hour or an hour a day on this traffic generation activity.

3. Blogging

Set up a blog and use it as a traffic generator through pinging at Pingomatic, social bookmarking, and search engine optimization. Learn how to optimize your blog for prime search engine rankings. Funnel traffic to your blog to your website! You can do that by including a byline advertising your website at the end of every blog post.
