These days, more and more smart marketers are building their own mailing lists. A mailing list is the foundation of any successful long-term business. You absolutely need to have the ability to contact your customers and your subscribers on a repeated basis to create repeat sales and a loyal customer base.

Here's what you to do when you need a 1,000 strong subscribers list in one month:

1. Do an article promotion blitz

Articles were my main promotional method online and article marketing is still a 60lb gorilla in terms of the effectiveness in online marketing methods. You can't go wrong with article marketing if you do it right! Write quality articles and submit them to top article directories around the web. I repeat - you can't go wrong with it.

2. Strike up some mega profitable joint ventures

Joint venture marketing is absolutely the fastest way I have found to build a giant, responsive list almost overnight. Do ad swaps (mail your partner's squeeze page offer to your list, and vice-versa) with other marketers in your niche; you will be building your subscriber list at warp speed and having a list of responsive subscribers.

3. Set up a pay per click advertising campaign

Pay per click advertising can be a quick way to gather subscribers. Start off slowly with a small ad budget and make sure you get your keywords and your ad copy right. With pay per click advertising, it is important to start off strongly to ramp up that click-through rate and consequently your Quality Score, resulting in lower costs pre click and higher ad positions.

These are the exact steps I took to get my first 1,000 subscribers to my list. I then scaled each of these methods a few times over to add more subscribers to my list. You can do it too!
