Default Why Most Affiliates Are Still Working As Full-Time Employees?

Before these affiliates started their career, they’re still working as full-time employees in their respective companies or offices. We do agree that more than 95% of the affiliates have failed in their careers. As an affiliate, you must not think that this kind of marketing will make you a living soon. You need to scale up and work hard a bit in order to make a living with affiliate marketing.

But why is it that they’re still working as full-timers?

1. Affiliate marketing is not stable and fixed

Affiliate programs like Clickbank and Amazon are one of the top destinations for you to promote affiliate products, but the thing is that these products may not be getting lots of sales forever. In other words, you need to shift with another product that can be on-demand in the upcoming days. This is pretty tough for you as an affiliate, especially in terms of promoting it through your website or blog. You won’t expect that your earnings are guaranteed.

2. Payments can be delayed which includes possible fees

Unlike you were paid by your company or office twice a month, affiliate programs are also not fixed with their payment schedule. For example, if you are working with Amazon Associates and reached payout, they will send you an Amazon check. No matter how much you earned on that program, you will be charged with a handling or a huge shipping fee. Other affiliate programs won’t charge you that much, but chances are that payments might get delayed due to their issues.

That is one of the major setbacks being an affiliate and why many don't fully move away from working in a full-time job. Don’t quit working with your current job if you’re not earning affiliate income consistently for months and are stable and ready. You can do both full-time job and affiliate marketing at the same time, with proper time management.
