Arrow Google AdWords - How to Make AdWords A Cash Cow For You!

Before going out and spending money on AdWords, you should take some time to familiarize yourself with the system. Going into AdWords without sufficient knowledge is like driving an F1 car without training! You don't want that.

More importantly, success with AdWords is dependent on real-life experience. You need to use AdWords and test and track your campaigns for profitability. No idea is proven until it is put out there into the real world.

Here's how you can make AdWords your own personal cash cow:

1. Create A Long-Tail Keyword List

A long-tail keyword list is the foundation of your AdWords campaigns. You'd want to find keywords that are relatively high in searches, but do not contain too much competition. These keywords are ideal and can be profitable. Use Wordtracker to do your keyword research.

2. Write Arresting Copy For Your Ads

Your copy must be absolutely arresting and stop searchers in their tracks to click your ad. Clickthrough rate is vital because it determines your quality score, and that helps to determine your ad position! The higher your clickthrough rate is, the less you would have to pay to maintain a high position. Always split-test your ads evenly and always create new ads to test against your control.

3. Group Your Keywords

Group related keywords into different ad groups. This way, you can write customized ads for each ad group. You'd want your ad for any ad group to contain the keyword phrase, so that the keyword phrase is bolded in the ad, giving it more prominence!

4. Test And Track Your Campaigns

Use Google Analytics to track conversion rates like sales and newsletter signup rates. This is what it all comes down to: conversions and profits! Your ad must be pulling in a good ROI (return on investment), or else thrash it!
