When you have a list, it's also a great leverage tool in joint venture negotiations. Simply put, with a list, you will be able to procure more joint venture deals and make more money.

Here are the secrets of creating a growing "money tree":

1. Concentrate On Targeted Traffic Generation

Concentrate on driving only targeted traffic (think article marketing! Think AdWords!) to your opt-in pages and sales pages to build a targeted, responsive list. Avoid buying packaged leads, or using any other traffic generation method that doesn't drive targeted traffic to your opt-in pages.

2. Build A Relationship With Your List

Generating targeted visitors is not the only key to building a responsive list. You must build a relationship with your subscribers. Treat them by sending them quality free gifts and free information that they can apply to help them to improve whatever is they want to improve.

3. Send Powerful, Relevant Offers

The quality of offer is very important in email promotions. Even if you have a responsive list, you won't make many sales if your email is not powerful, and more importantly, your offer is not unique or benefit-rich.

4. Do Cross-Promotions With Other List Marketers

When you have a list of a few hundred or a few thousand subscribers, do cross-promotions with other marketers to grow your list. Promote their opt-in page to your list, and they do the same by promoting your opt-in page to their list. It's a win-win situation!
