Default Are Landing Pages Better Than Direct Linking?

If you are very serious in generating a lot of targeted traffic and revenue for your business, you will need motivation and dedication. No matter if you are a vendor or affiliate, it’s important that you should give value to your visitors or potential buyers. There are a couple of things for you to look at; landing pages or direct links. When it comes to landing pages, you are giving customers some real content (articles, images and videos) before going to the actual sales page. On the other hand, direct linking is where you promote your product without the need of landing pages.

Landing pages or direct linking?

We’ll, most of the affiliates today are relying more on landing pages than direct linking. If you have a landing page that gives an overview to the product or service that you’re promoting, it can really convert well. There’s a chance that your conversions might get higher than just linking to the sales page directly. It is quite understood that the customers might read more about the product or service before committing themselves to buy it. Direct linking is also fine, but it doesn’t really convert well without a little overview about a product or service.

For example, if you are promoting a satellite TV product, you need to create a quick overview about it. It can be either your general thoughts, a product review or even its features. You can easily research articles about the product you are promoting from various sources and rewrite them on your own. Create a review blog about it, attach images, videos and other things needed for the product. Once it is done, you can easily promote the product in various ways and getting higher conversions. But if you’re still relying on direct linking, there’s a less chance that you will get clicks and conversions from targeted customers.

This is why landing pages can sometimes be better for conversions than just direct links.
