Default Niche Blogging: Why Spam Comments Hurt Your Blog?

Most of the bloggers around the world (especially Wordpress users) are receiving spam comments daily. Even if you warn them not to do it again, they still ignore and continue to spam with our blogs. What makes you think they are doing this every single day? Do you think it really benefits them to spam in every they collected? For the spammers, it really benefits them, but not for a long time.

Why these spam comments can hurt your blog?

First of all, a blog should always be valuable to your readers and customers. It means that everything inside and outside of your blog should be relevant (especially comments). For example, if you have started a blog post about a product review, you will be getting a lot of comments from spammers. The purpose of spammers to comment in your blog is to get a link back which is not valuable.

A few examples of these are:

1. "Nice blog post"
2. "Thanks for posting, I'll come back for more"
3. "Very nice blog. Keep posting"
4. "Your blog post really inspired me. Thanks for sharing"

And so much more....

These short spammy comments were not even relevant and friendly to the owner and readers themselves. Good thing for Wordpress, they had a default feature that lets these comments on "pending" mode. It is tough for you to judge which is spammy, and which one's relevant. If you think these comments are spam, don't just put them on the "Spam" section. Instead, you should delete these comments from your blog database.

If you had a lot of live spam comments in your blog post, do you think the readers find it good? I don't think so. It will only lose your trust and reputation from them. This is why spam comments really hurts your blog and also its traffic.
