If you are looking to rank a website or blog, you need to have both skills of a SEO specialist and a keyword researcher. But did you know that it is now tough for you to rank a website or blog in Google? The reason it is tough because of Google's brand new algorithm called the Google Panda. It "kills" those websites and blogs with poorly written and duplicate content which lets them go into the Sandbox. If you want to bypass this algorithm, you need to have original content and proper keyword research.
Why keyword research is so critical right now?
Most of them agreed that keyword research is the most critical stage of doing SEO. You need to find the keyword which has the following specifications:
1. Low competition
2. Over 5,000 monthly searches
3. Less than 10 million results in Google
For example, you are doing keyword research with Google Keyword Tool or Keyword Winner (for Wordpress users only). If your keyword is highly popular, it is quite understood that the competition is already high. Make sure that the other related keywords to your website has met the specifications above. Collect all of these keywords that met the specifications to your notepad, and do some "brainstorming". It is also a good sign that when your chosen keyword has not yet taken through the "Exact Match Domain" strategy, it is your chance to claim it. With that, it helps rank your website or blog well in Google.
