One essential aspect of email marketing is a relatively big, responsive list. We often confuse having a big list to having a poor quality list. In truth, we can both build a big list and a responsive list. That's the kind of list you'd want to build for your online marketing business. The problem is how do we build a big list...and do it really fast?

Ok, this method will not work if you don't already have a mailing list. My advice is, if you want to use this powerful method, that you build a mailing list of a few hundred subscribers first. It's not difficult! Go and write articles, start some pay per click campaigns, post some Craigslist ads...in no time you will have a few hundred fresh subscribers on your list.

So here's the method: find other list owners in your market segment and cross-promote each other's opt-in pages! In other words, you will promote their opt-in pages to your list, while they promote your opt-in page to their lists. If you can set up a few deals like this every month, you will be growing a massive list in no time at all.

Best of all, it's a completely free method to use and takes no more than a few minutes to implement. Simply send a few emails to other marketers in your niche. You will usually get about a 10% response rate and out of those, a few will be happy to do a swap with you. It's a quick-fire way to build your list.
