List Building Tips: Setting Up The Right Interval For Your Follow-Ups
- ARTICLES |
1. Your welcome email should be delivered immediately
Once you have the squeeze page and opt-in form, it's time for you generate lots of subscribers in your list. If your squeeze page is about a free eBook, video course or software, the welcome email should be delivered immediately. Your subscriber expects that once he opts in to your mailing list, he should receive the free gift immediately. If you want them to receive a gift tomorrow or next week, it's not possible for them to stay long and may not subscribe for good.,
2. Your first two follow-ups must be at least 1-2 days of time interval
After the subscriber successfully receives your first email, the follow-up begins. In the first couple of follow-up emails, your content must contain good value to them. Not only that, you should set the follow-up schedule at least one to two days after the welcome email. For example, if your subscriber receives a welcome message on Monday, he should expect the first follow-up to be delivered on the next day, and the second follow-up will be on Thursday.
3. Your remaining follow-ups must be at least 3-4 days of time interval
When a subscriber receives his first two-follow ups, it's time for you to generate more follow-up emails for him. No matter if you have more than 10 to 20 follow-ups, the time interval for each of them should be at least 3-4 days. For example, if you've received a second-follow up on Thursday, the next follow-up will be delivered on Sunday or Monday, and so on. As you follow this sequence, it is understood that your subscribers might stay for long. Don't forget that you should always give value to your subscribers, not some useless ads that are spam.
