Is it possible to make tons of affiliate sales without spending lots of money on generating traffic? The answer is yes - if you know how and are willing to put in some effort. Make no mistake... making an income online does require effort, no matter what the 'gurus' say.

So here is how you can start making affiliate sales without spending a single red dime:

1. Start posting on forums that are related to your affiliate offers. The advantage with forum posting is that you can get instant traffic and exposure to your affiliate offers. Don't be blatant and post your affiliate link all over the place though...You do want to post good information to entice readers to click on your affiliate link. Include your affiliate link in your signature file and type a good benefit and call-to-action so others will click through to it.

2. Yahoo Answers is one source to place your affiliate links in a subtle manner. What you do not want to do is to spam the place with your links, but rather you want to provide good information and invite readers to click on your link to learn more. Reply to questions that are related to your product and try to be as comprehensive as possible to your answers. Aim to get the 'Best Answer' to get more exposure to your posting.

3. Writing and submitting articles is a tried and tested way to earn more affiliate commissions. The game plan is to submit 300-500 word articles to popular article directories to get traffic. In you resource box, link to your affiliate link (usually using a redirect from your own website, as some article directories do not allow the promotion of 'raw' affiliate links).
