Perhaps the most important part of an AdSense website is its content.
Content is what gets search engines to rank your site, it's what gets people to stay on your site long enough to click on ads and it's hopefully what'll also get you more backlinks in the long run.
Here are a few tips for writing stellar content for AdSense websites.

It's much easier to write about something that you actually know about than something that you know nothing about.
When you know something about a topic, the words will just flow. It'll feel easy, you won't have to think as much and you won't have to spend valuable time researching a topic when you could just be producing content.
Does that mean you should only go into markets that you know things about? Absolutely not. It's just easier to you do.

If it's your first time around the topic, then you'll want to just do some general research to get to know the topic. Browse some forums, read some blogs and just get to know the industry.
The idea is to learn enough about the field that you can use the same lingo and understand the basic psychology of the people in that industry. You don't need to become an overnight expert.
Once you know the industry a bit and have a list of topics or articles you want to write, then do some research on the specific topic.
Good places to do research include Google, eHow, WikiHow and EzineArticles.
Search for your keywords in one or more of these sites. Open up 3-4 different articles on the same subject, read up a bit and then write your article.

So you decide to read a few video game equipment sites to learn a bit about what gamers look for. You realize they're looking for speed, sensitivity, ability to adjust sensitivity and "macros" or programmable buttons.
You then move on to mouses. You use Google and EzineArticles to find 4 articles on finding good gaming mouses, take the best tips from all of them and write your article in your own words with your own take and your own ideas.
Just rinse and repeat this process and you'll be able to write really good content on just about any subject on the internet, even if you're starting with little to no knowledge. Start by getting yourself familiar on the subject, then dive deep into the specific topic you're writing about.
