If you have an interest in making more sales and increasing your profits, it is often important to find out exactly what your customers want. Marketers who get this right see increased sales and get tons of happy customers, as well as gaining a dominant position in their market.

Believe it or not, finding out exactly what your customers want is not as difficult as is often made out to be. It can be done with a simple survey.

What you'd normally want to do is build a list first, although you can often post your survey at forums or even advertise it using pay per click marketing (you can use this avenue to test out the responsiveness of your ads too...).

Two places I use to create easy surveys are Survey Monkey and Zoomerang. It's easy to get started with these sites and you can literally have a survey ready to send to your subscribers within a few minutes.

Try to keep your surveys short and simple. If a survey is too long, people will often not be willing to use their time to fill it up. But if it's short and sweet, people won't mind helping you create your perfect product, so that it also helps them achieve their goals.

To get more responses from your surveys, you can even bundle in a free gift as an incentive and that often works very well.
