Most people do their research for physical products online before buying it offline at a store. It's easy to question the feasibility of marketing physical products to earn affiliate commissions because 1) The commission rates for these products are typically low and 2) These products compete with the offline market. But when you have a crazily popular product like the iPod, iPhone or even a hot new PSP title, then you'd want to get in even with the low commissions because you know the thing will sell like nobody's business. So it's a good idea to hook up with Amazon, Commission Junction or Ebay to promote hot physical products like these, especially new products that are hitting the market soon. On Ebay and Amazon, there are places where you can see the latest hot new products that are hitting their digital shelves soon. These products will receive tons of searches on Google when they launch, so you'd want to be there when it happens by ranking in the search engines through a review blog or stealing some high CTR before other people catch on and start promoting the same product too. In my opinion, this is the best way to market physical affiliate products. Some might call it guerrilla marketing because you're moving about from product to product and are not loyal to one product.
