19 Ways To Improve Your Efficiency.

Things you can do to save time.
Time is money, after all!

1. Do what you're good at. Play your strengths, not your weaknesses.

2. Find someone (or something) else who excels at your weak points and use them to perform these tasks.

3. Do what you're interested in. You'll be more motivated!

4. Always plan ahead - making decisions on the fly can frequently lead to costly mistakes.

5. Group similar tasks together and do them all at once (or consecutively). You'll be able to establish a "rhythm" for the job at hand and polish it off before you know it!

6. Keep your workspace clean and clutter-free. (Both your desk and your desktop!)

7. Track and Measure your Results. You'll be inspired by your successes and aware of areas you can improve.

8. Split Test to find the most effective means of achieving your desired outcome.

9. Use Templates. Templates let you devote more of your resources (ie: time) to doing things that make you money.

10. Maximize your results from existing strategies and tools you already have before investing in new things.

11. Have a "Work" e-mail and a "Personal" e-mail. Mixing the two often results in unnecessary distractions.

12. Filter incoming information whenever possible. Organize your incoming e-mails into dedicated folders and elimitate unimportant ones.

13. Prioritize your tasks. Important things need to happen first. Don't avoid them in favour of "Easy" tasks.

14. Separate "Work" and "Play" time - If you need to be on, for example, Facebook for your business then be there for that purpose. If not don't log on!

15. Work in an atmosphere that is conductive to business. Close your door and FOCUS whenever you can. An "open door" is often an invitation for interruption.

16. Bring everything you need with you. Getting up all the time for things you've forgotten (ie: a glass of water every 30 minutes) disrupts your workflow.

17. Establish a routine. Work on demanding projects when you're most focused. If you're not a morning person don't try to do all the detail oriented tasks at 7am. Stick to the straight forward stuff until you're "in the game".

18. If you're having trouble focusing try switching to another task for a while. Try doing something else for an hour and then coming back to the previous task.

19. Close programs you're not using. Your computer will run faster when you allow it to work like you do - laser focused on the task at hand!
