The following is what I did in my first year doing business online that allowed me to build a full-time income working part-time on it. It's exactly what I did and it's a fully operational system you can use in any niche you want to enter.

Here's what I did in my first year online:

I realized that building an opt-in list was the key to success and long-term profits. So I set about building a few opt-in lists. I started creating free products and giving them away to build lists. I do this for the Internet marketing niche too and you can bet that it's reaping profits for me.

I then wrote tons of informative articles. Yes, tons of them. I then submitted them to article directories, my own blog, on forums and offered them to ezine publishers in exchange for them living the link to my website intact. The idea is to get floods of traffic from articles.

Then I started approaching other list owners in the niche once I sizeable list built up (about 500 subscribers). I would approach list owners who had around 500 subscribers as well. Then when I had 1000 subscribers I would approach list owners with about 1000 subscribers to do an email ad swap where they promote my free offer and I promote theirs. This allows me to grow my list at an unprecendeted speed for me. All it takes is sending a few, straight-to-the-point joint venture emails to other marketers in your niche, and the cost is free.

So that's what I did in my first year online; I started building my opt-in list. This opt-in list gives you leverage in joint ventures and most importantly, it will increase your profits.
