List building and affiliate marketing are two powerful online marketing business models. And when you combine the two, the potential for explosive profits and long-term income is there.

Firstly, you must build a list online. There's no two ways about it. Having an opt-in list will increase your profits, period. Provided you do it right. It's no use building a large email list that won't respond to your email messages.

For 15 minutes of work, you can earn potentially hundreds of dollars. The big thing about promoting your own products is that you do keep all the profits, but it does take time and effort (and money!) to create your own product.

If you want to make real continuous profits from your list building business, try promoting affiliate products that offer residual commissions, such as membership sites. Earning from these products allows you to profit multiple times from a single sale.

When you have a list, you can build a long-term relationship with your subscribers and if offer quality products, they will look forward to more of your recommendations. Treat your subscribers well and they will respond to you.
