One of the questions I often get about list building is: "What gift should I give away to build a list?"

Personally, I like to give away an information packed ebook. An ebook is a amazing gift to giveaway, and there's a perceived value with an ebook there over a normal ecourse. And an ecourse is effective too because it's a set of informative emails and it's much more easy to absorb in one go than reading through an ebook in a sitting.

What you can do is offer a free ebook plus a free ecourse. You could always offer free videos, free access to a membership, resale rights products and free CD's or even DVD's. You can go to a DVD or CD fulfillment company and get CD's and DVD's dropshipped for you, and you can do it all online! You don't even see the products. You just submit your order and the products are shipped to your customers. There are lots of possibilities you can use for your list building business.

Don't be afraid to see what other marketers are doing too. If they have been doing a particular strategy for a long time, it is likely that the strategy is working for them. See how you can incorporate them into your business so you benefit.

But remember not to spend too much time dissecting other people's businesses though, spend time building your own! Go and get a short ebook or digital report done, build a squeeze page, sign up for an autoresponder. Go and get something done today. Keep on taking action everyday and you'll see results sooner rather than later.
