Arrow Facebook Marketing - Using Facebook apps For Polls, Quizzes and Surveys

One of the most attractive reasons to leverage your business via Facebook lies in the fact that Facebook is, for the most part, free.

Facebook has numerrous apps and these apps are Free. Free Facebook apps to help you spread polls, quizzes and surveys, as well as administer contests. ( But remember to review and understand Facebook's rule - especially about the latter.)

Facebook has many apps to select from and you can even create your own, thanks to Facebook's user-friendly developer format -- but don't bring in a third party app from "outside" without first reading Facebook's rules thoroughy. This social network is very particular about what it will and won't allow; and your safest bet is to select an app that you can install from Facebook only.

Here's a quick overview of the many different types of apps you can select from at latest count:

· Games -- These games are some Facebook's biggest lures (leading to a new form of recognized addiction) is the ability to create social games such as Farmville, Cityville, Mafia Wars, City of Wonder, etc., on Facebook, ensuring that people remain on Facebook for far longer periods of time. Popular games often vault their creators into six figure profits and beyond, becoming a primary business in their own right -- but if that's not your goal, you can still create a simple game relevant to your niche members through Facebook's app developer platform.

· Polls -- You can create a strong call to action a using a poll app to gather opinions from your followers. This app easy and quick to create. People who hate surveys but will often engage with a simple, radio-button poll to make instant choices (and be heard on subjects crucial to them). By letting your followers submittheir opinion creates stronger engagement -- and loyalty.

· Quizzes -- Again a lot of people hate taking quizzes but a well-designed quiz is usuallyshort enough not to feel like a exhausting endeavor and long enough to entice the user. TIP: If a user feels a quiz will better their changes of being serviced by your business or increase their niche entertainment or comprehension of themselves they are most likely to engage.

· Surveys -- The longer version of polls and persuades "by invitation" users to give their opinions in a more personal way. You decide if your particular niche demographic will be more responsive to the poll or the survey setup.

· Virtual Gifts -- With virtual gifts you can make real money, if you have a business that can easily and naturally offer virtual gifts. An instance, Zynga's Farmville game players can use credit cards, Facebook credits or their PayPal accounts to buy tiny graphics. These provide the game app they have installed with unique accessories, animals, buildings and decorative items for their virtual farms not available to those who don't pay.

· Widgets-- Widgets are awesome for customizing and upgrading your Facebook page to make it more niche-friendly. After installing these widgets there is no maintenance. Onr of the best feastures of Facebook widgets is that they let you create a custom tab for your followers to access.

· Viral apps -- Last, creating a valuable, niche-specific app that people can use to enhance their quality of life (for example, a "select a workshop" schedule for a local building store) can quickly cause your page to go viral within that niche.

Whatever apps you decide to use you need remember to design them so that your Facebook user finds them enjoyable, simple and captivating. If you create a positive experience, your Facebook use will be excited and energized to visit your page again and again.
