Visual examples of some popular infographics
One of the elements that is fueling the popularity of these images is the meteoric rise of the social media platform, Pinterest.com, which is a virtual pin board where users can collect and share images that they like with their followers.
If your visitors like your images, and they share them on sites such as Pinterest.com, you can gain exposure to a whole new audience. Make sure you install a 'Pin it' button on your website to make it easier for your visitors to share your images.
When you are creating your infographic make sure that you include the URL to your site on the graphic itself because as people pin, share and re-pin the image, the actual source can get lost.
Be sure to check out Mashable's infographic board, which has a ton of examples of popular and effective graphics that you can look at to get inspiration and ideas for creating your own.
