While there are some truly great business opportunities on the internet, there are also some scam artists who are out to rob you of your hard earned cash, while giving you little to nothing in return.

When evaluating business opportunities online, I have 3 criteria that an opportunity must meet in order to be considered...if all 3 criteria are not met, then it might be a scam, and you should run the other way as fast as possible.

1. Are others doing it?

Now, this in of itself is of course not a great indicator, but one thing many scam artists do is come up with programs that very few people have ever heard of. This way, they are able to stay under the radar & not raise any red flags by creating "big companies."

2. What is the product?

If there is not product of value, there is no business...period. Now, the product does not have to be a physical product (it can be training materials, etc.) but the product must be valuable on its own. If you join some opportunity where a $2 ebook has been marked up to $997...well that probably isn't very legitimate!

3. How do you get paid?

Make sure it is real money. This sounds crazy, but I have seen many programs that pay in "points" or "gifts." Last time I checked, most people were in this business to make money, not collect worthless points.

You should have the option of having money paid directly into your bank account, or processed through a merchant processor...this ensures that your money is safe, and can be transferred securely to your bank account.
