Blog Commenting for Traffic: 5 Tips for an Avalanche of Targeted Traffic!
- ARTICLES |
1. Focus on high-traffic blogs in your niche or market
Many internet marketers make the mistake of commenting on low traffic blogs, which in turn will bring you little traffic. If you really want to get a lot of traffic, then only comment on blogs that have a lot of traffic & interaction (hint: look at past posts & see how many "legitimate" comments are being left...the more the merrier).
2. Be the first to comment
Set a Google Alert or sign up for a blog's RSS feed so that you can get notified as soon as a new post is published. By doing this, you will be able to get a lot of traffic without a lot of effort! You don't have to be the absolute first person to comment, but the higher the better.
3. Don't say "nice post"
This is pretty self explanatory. Don't just say "nice post" or "great article." You need to contribute to the conversation.
4. Express your opinion
Engaging with the author will get you noticed. If you agree with them, tell them which parts of the article you enjoyed & why. If you disagree with certain parts, don't be afraid to say so (just be ready to back up your point of view).
5. Comment on multiple blogs
You are going to have to test to see which blogs bring you the most traffic, but once you figure it out you need to narrow your list down to 7-10 blogs, and focus on commenting on the ones that are most targeted to what you offer, and can send you targeted website traffic.
